In the dictionary “credentials” means “…that which entitles one to confidence, credit or authority.”  These are things that will be left up to you, the client.  At DevelopMental Solutions, we believe credentials are a combination of educational background and practical experience. Following is a summary of credentials for Lee Hancock, PhD, founder and President of DevelopMental Solutions.  

Educational Experience:
Lee obtained his PhD from Arizona State University.  His educational focus was on using sport psychology concepts to enhance youth athletes, students, teachers and coaches.  Further, Lee’s focus was on creating and implementing curriculum in order to improve performance. 

Practical Experience:
Lee’s experience is comprised of being a competitive athlete, coach, teacher and consultant. 

Lee played competitive soccer until he was 25 years old.  The successes and failures Lee faced as a competitive athlete lend valuable insight to his approach to working with clients. 

Lee has coached club soccer for over 15 years. He believes it is important to continue to work with athletes in order to stay current on player behaviors and learning tendencies.

Lee is a teacher.  Any time you seek to change someone’s behavior, you are teaching.  Lee seeks to change behavior through teaching and in addition to teaching “on the field,” is currently teaching in the classroom at CSUDH and through his business, DevelopMental Solutions.

Lee has consulted hundreds of athletes, coaches, students and parents.  Lee has successfully worked with clubs, elite University athletes and organizations.  While the programs have all been different, the goals remain the same…improving performance through hard work and an innovative mental approach.
