SAT prep for athletes tutors student-athletes who want to prepare for the new SAT.  This course provides student-athletes with information about the SAT including the rationale for the test, the content being assessed, the format of the questions, and appropriate test taking strategies.  The program uses an existing resource as a base and structures a set calendar with additional practice activities, expert advice, and partial as well as full exams to prepare students for the SAT.

The course is designed specifically for student-athletes. Student-athletes are often extremely busy and find it difficult to attend traditional SAT courses often held during their practice time.  Further, student-athletes are extremely capable at focusing their attention when there are attainable goals for which to strive. This program has sessions at times when kids can attend (Fridays, weekends or Sundays; whenever there is not school, practice or games) and maximizes student-athletes’ motivation by incorporating strategies and goals to engage the student-athlete in the learning process.

Here is how it works:

  1. You want more information about our SAT program.
  2. We meet to discuss the program.
  3. The course begins and lasts for 3-4 weeks (approximately 6-8 sessions).
  4. Student-athletes take the SAT exam.
  5. We meet individually with student-athletes after their first SAT in order to guide them in the right direction if they decide to take the SAT again.
