Mental Skills Development for individuals provides athletes, students or coaches with an opportunity to develop mental skills and apply them in diverse situations.  Mental skills important to sport or another competitive arena are determined by utilizing past experiences, research findings as well as through discussions with you. 

Examples of mental skills topics include:

  • Pre-performance routines which create and maintain focus
  • Changing negative self talk into positive self talk
  • Gaining and maintaining self confidence

Here is how it works:

  1. You decide that you want to learn or improve your mental skills.
  2. We discuss mental skills that you need to learn or improve in order to be successful in your endeavor.
  3. We go through a series of steps to ensure you are learning and are able to apply the skills. 
  4. We meet over time to ensure that you are applying and realizing success with the skills.
  5. The process can last a month, a season, a year or number of years, depending on how you want to set it up.
